Karma Yoga Class!

Karma Yoga classes are offered the first Sunday of each month. All proceeds are sent to a worthwhile charity, nonprofit organization, or community cause. A $5 donation is suggested, but give whatever you can. These classes are suitable for all levels.

 Direct Relief International provides medical assistance to improve the quality of life for people affected by poverty, disaster, and civil unrest at home and throughout the world. We work to strengthen the in-country health efforts of our partners by providing essential material resources – medicines, supplies and equipment.received $270 for Japan relief. http://www.directrelief.org/

 SAFF, Sierra Association of Foster Families, who provides easy access to services and support for all foster parents and improves the lives of the children they serve. Their educational support programs, mentoring programs, arts and athletic programs open doors, create opportunities and provide a special place where children will not just survive their difficult circumstances but grow and flourish. They received $310 http://www.saffnn.org/

 The Holland Project is an all-ages art and music initiative made for and by the young people in Reno and beyond. Holland strives to empower young people through access to music, art, diverse workshop opportunities, and community service and activism. Holland received $79.00 http://www.hollandreno.org 

 The Sugar Pine Foundation is a South Lake Tahoe-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to save Tahoe's sugar pines and other white pines from an incurable, exotic fungus called white pine blister rust by educating and involving the local community in hands-on forest stewardship.  Whitny Mulligan is a dear friend and young mother with 2 little boys. She thought she had a stomach ulcer, but when the doctors went to remove it, they found she had stage 4 stomach cancer. It has spread all over her body. She is changing her diet, going through chemo therapy, and trying to get healthy. She isn't able to work right now and, because we love her, we wanted to help her.
